Day 57/365

Last night Wes slept at work to get a jump on some tile for a friend of his.. So it was just me and the 4 munchkins.. Before he left he asked Caleb to watch over us and put him "in charge" as the man of the house while he was away.. I guess he took that pretty seriously because at 12:30am I heard wood being loaded into the stove!! I hopped out of bed, quietly grabbed my camera and snapped a few pix of him.. I am so proud of all our little men but last night my big KK defiantly got a lot of brownie points.. 

Even though I technically took that pix today I couldn't not take the camera out.. Once again I ventured to the woods around golden hour.I had tried to get out about an hour earlier but of course I hadn't been to the grocery store yet and had to get food for dinner.. So its a little like the images you just saw but I just cant get enough of that back lighting mixed with bokeh, I mean who can??

Day 56/365

Movie Day!! We went to see Lego with Miranda and Cyrus.. I have been dying to try shooting pix of the boys in a theater forever now... & thanks to Grammy we got to go :) When we got home the sun was calling my name from the woods, I couldn't resist............... 

Day 55/365

Today started very very early for me, 4:30 to be exact.. Even though I would much rather sleep in there are some perks to getting up that early. Like chasing the moon, watching the night turn to day, and that moment when the light over takes the darkness.... I didn't have my tripod and have never shot the moon before so its not a high quality photo but we all have to start somewhere, right? After my date with the moon I went and saw my mom. She is truly the most beautiful woman I have ever known inside and out. She was a photographer when I was a child, some of my fondness memories when I was younger are of us in the darkroom together.. She has been such a support for me during this amazing journey called life. I love ya mom :)

After my visit I called Miranda for our morning convo and she invited us over for a "FriendsGiving" Dinner! I must say I have to best best friend EVER!! We spent a good chunk of our day there while Wes was at work, which is always a blast... I was able to take a super cute pix of Miranda and Cyrus snuggled up in the same sweatshirt gazing into each others eyes! It is so hard to be the photographer of the family sometimes..  You are absent from most of the pictures. Yes you can set up your tripod but those are always posed and you can almost never capture those special "moments".. I really want to try to get as many pix for her this year as I can.. Our Turkey dinner was the best part of the day by far!! It was perfect from start to finish!! She even had make your own sundaes for desert.. I hope that our "FriendsGiving" in February will be a tradition that we hold on to for years to come :)

Day 54/365 "Bokeh"

Working at home today so you get a few more pix of my handsome husband...  I had a lot of fun playing around with bokeh!! I'm kind of obsessed ;)

Day 53/365 "Mohawk Monday"

Yes I know I know I am cheating today but I have been going through my computer and deleting unwanted pix to make room for 2014.. Most of them are not very good but when I came across these from 2 summers ago and I couldn't resist sharing!! The 1 of Westley and Cooper was captured rite after Coop had fallen in the river up at theWhite Mountains.. Wes had to jump in after him fully clothed, well fully clothed in Westley world which is half clothed to rest of us ;) The second image is Cohen picking blueberries.. I am really wanting to print and frame these and am hoping you can all help me chose between blk n wht or color?

Day 52/365

Today was such a great day!! The weather could not have been any better, it was the perfect day for a walk. So that's exactly what we did.. Afterwards we went to my dads & step-moms  house to celebrate Copper and I's birthday. Even though I most certainly didn't need to eat any more cake when your 95 year old Grammy makes you 1 you enjoy every calorie filled bite that much more!!  We always have such a great time when we visit with them! It was defiantly a good Sunday from start to finish :)

As we were leaving my dads Wes pointed out the beautiful sunset right outside the door. I couldn't not capture it..

Cooper was my tiny dancing on our walk!! He was twirling around and singing to himself at the back of the line.. It was really precious!!

We were quite the bunch!! 

Day 51/365 "Early Morning"

Early mornings call for alone time, camera in hand with music playing... I was up early enough this morning to truly enjoy the beauty of that magical time of day when the sun and cold collide.. I will honestly miss the frost when it spring comes!! 

Day 50/365!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Coopers Birthday"

I have 2 things to celebrate today, I have made it 50 days as an official blogger but way more importantly it my babies 6th birthday!!!!!!!!!!! I can not believe our youngest is a big boy now.. My mom took him to Build a Bear after school while Wes and I baked him a cake. He was very specific as to what he wanted in his cake lol, vanilla cake, chocolate filling, and cream cheese frosting on the top! I will tell you what he has some super good taste :) It was a small celebration with my mom and Miranda +family. We all missed my dad and step mom being here as they couldn't make it due to working late.. But on the bright side Cooper gets to have 2 parties!!

Day 49/365

Last night my super husband made me an incredible from scratch birthday cake for our celebration with Miranda and family!! I was surprised with the absolute best present EVER!!! Miranda spent most of the day designing the coolest sweatshirt on the planet, its black with a pink camera on top and on the bottom it says "I shoot people"!! How freaking cool is that :) I defiantly freaked out. Not only did she get me a great gift but she took some fantastic pix of the night too.. I would love if you would all go over to her blog and check them out! 

Today was a quiet day for me.. I have been a little tired and cranky with having to catch up on a few days with the blog.. Wes had a ton of snow removal to do before the rain tomorrow so I went out with him early and took a few pix with the sun and glistening snow!

Day 48/365 "Its my birthday"

 I started my day watching the sunrise this morning and saying a prayer for the upcoming year, not just for myself but for all the people I love. There is no other beauty in this world that compares to a sunrise.. Its just breathtaking and never the same, forever changing. The early morning is my favorite time for reflection, the quite is so peaceful so rejuvenating.. I am always so happy when I make it out in time to enjoy it.. 

Not only is it my birthday today but it is also my moms!! It is an amazing thing 

sharing the day of your birth with someone your so close to.. My whole life its been the 2 of us against the world. Mother and daughter but also best friends.. Most of what is good in me I have learned from her. Kindness, compaction, understanding, patience, but most of all my faith! Not matter what she has always been there for me, and for my boys. When I think of her I smile I cant help it. This weekend is her time off and we will be able to all spend some time together to celebrate our birthdays properly.. Love you mom more than you will ever know!! Happy Birthday xoxoxo 

Day 47/365

I've gotten a little behind!!! I took this pix during our Tuesday snow storm.. Caleb was totally oblivious to the fact that I took it.. He and Bear Bear were watching the snow fall out of my bedroom window and I just couldn't resist.. I really didn't intend on making it a silhouette but I ended up under exposing it and when I checked I realized how great it would look if it was.. I fell in love and yay ,its the first time I've ever taken a true silhouette

Snuggles on our new bed tonight watching movies... I love that we have a bed big enough to fit all 6 of us + the cats & dog! Psst its almost my B-Day.... I was super excited but today was a rough day for me. I don't know what it was but I just wanted to cry, and cry I did... I guess alls well that ends well though.. A good night sleep usually fixes everything..

Day 45/365 "Pretty Miss Peaches"

Sunday is Church day in the Rollins house.. I truly do look forward to it all week long! Other than that we had a nice relaxing day.. Peach was really hamming it up when we got home. I don't think she likes being left behind, separation anxiety to the max! She is incredibly lucky shes so cute..

Bowling and good friends on a snowy Saturday... Life is defiantly good!!

Day 43/365

No school again today due to snow and it was really nice! Wes & I made heart shaped pancakes in the morning for the boys and they LOVED them.. After breakfast the 4 of them got together and decided they wanted to give us gifts in the form of chores. Cooper and Cohen did the dishes for me while Caleb and Connor shoveled the stairs for daddy.. We couldn't have gotten a better V-Day gift :)
