Today was Connors Big Tournament!!!!!!! He has just started wrestling this year and I must say I was a little skeptical at first but I now LOVE this sport... It's given him so much already, his self confidence is booming and he has never been apart of a team that he felt more comfortable with! The entire family was there to cheer him on today including his 3 amazing grandparents :) I swear there is nothing more exciting in this entire world than watching your child in the center of a mat 1 on 1 with an opponent. The throat is a bit sore tonight from the constant screaming during his match... I am officially one of those crazy sports moms.
Yes all sports help children grow in many ways but the thing I love about wrestling the most is that not only are they building team skills but when they are on that mat the only person they can rely on is themselves!! I am so excited to be able to watch him grow over the next few years on this journey...

ReplyDeleteI saw you on Miranda's page tonight and was like Wow she looks like one of the wrestling's moms. And you don't look like one, you are one. LOL. Good for Connor! Ben has loved being on the wrestling team this year. It has really helped him a lot. Plus, it's a really good group of boys on their team :)
