Day 11/365 "From crate to Plate"

          Today was the day we butchered our first Roosters!!!! Our dream as a family is to be totally self sufficient living off the land somewhere in Alaska.. We are incredibly far from that reality considering were in Southern NH and taking trips to Market Basket once a week but its progress, right?? For this being our first time slaughtering anything not having any knowledge besides Internet info I think my husband did an incredible job...






Cooper was very upset I wouldn't let him see all the gory stuff...

      Thank you :) It was not an easy thing, the slaughtering.. it was much easier to look though the lense...

    Great photos, but thanks for not showing the gory stuff to us either, LOL... I have a friend whose goal is similar to yours that would probably absolutely love this post! I'll have to link her back to it. :)
